The study aims to identify the role of Sudanese internet websites in forming public opinion amongst individuals in society, with particular reference to the Alrakouba electronic website. The descriptive analytical approach was adopted in which a random sample of a web surfers’ community, consisting of 31 subjects, was selected to collect data through a questionnaire and scientific observation. Many findings were reached; the most important of which is that Alrakouba as a website has contributed to shaping the public opinion of its browsers through the information offered and the discussions that explain the current topics in Sudanese society; mainly the political issuesDue to the complexity of the phenomenon, the approaches and explanations for it have multiplied. Our attempt in this research is to identify the most important explanatory approaches to this phenomenon, which has become widespread, with a focus on the social approach (especially with the pioneer of the social school, Emil Durkheim) and the psychological approach.
